Welcome to Treger Group, a fourth-generation family business that has been a cornerstone of the lifestyle premium brands distribution industry for over 40 years. We specialise in bringing exquisite designer watches, jewellery, apparel, and other premium goods to discerning customers across Southern Africa.

At Treger Group, our Executive Management team, including Ricky Treger, Barney Treger, Daniel Treger, Gary Treger, Loren Dakes, Sandra Rosslee and Tanya Miles, boasts decades of combined experience in marketing and distribution. This expertise is the driving force behind our success, ensuring that each brand we represent becomes a leader in the South African market.

Based in Sandton, our head office oversees operations that extend throughout Southern Africa. Our warehousing and shipping facilities in Wynberg are strategically located to efficiently serve our customers and partners.

Treger Group Structure

The company is now structured around 3 main divisions:

Treger Brands

The Treger Brands division comprises three sub-divisions. Treger Brands, established in 2011, curates an impressive collection of timepieces, including Seiko, Citizen, Daniel Wellington, and Guess. In 2013, Treger Brands Jewellery Company was formed, focusing on exquisite jewellery brands such as Nomination Italy, Thomas Sabo, and Ania Haie. Additionally, the division acquired CJR Gift Sales in 2018, expanding its portfolio to include brands like Police, Timberland, Daniel Klein and Hallmark.

Swiss Watch Brands

In 2021, we launched Swiss Watch Brands, a division of Treger Group, housing Swatch Group brands like Longines, Rado, Tissot, Hamilton, Swatch, and Flik Flak, adding an exciting pillar to our group in luxury and Swiss categories, sourced from the Swatch Group, a leading multinational holding company in watchmaking.

Treger Brands Retail

Established in 2014, Treger Brands Retail oversees the retail and e-commerce operations of Treger Group, ensuring the strong representation of premium brands in key South African regions. With a focus on efficiency, the platform facilitates the rapid launch of new brands and concepts. Currently, we support 29 brick-and-mortar stores nationwide, and in 2023 we opened new branches of our Nomination, Bella Luna, and The Watch Boutique stores.

JOINT GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Ricky Treger

Ricky is a qualified chartered accountant, having completed his traineeship at PricewaterhouseCoopers after spending a period of time in New York obtaining operational experience. Ricky joined The Just Fun Group as managing director of Just Fun Sports and Just Baby. He has 10 years’ experience in the branded distribution business, and is the fourth generation of the Treger family to join the group.

JOINT GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Daniel Treger

After completing a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance at Wits University, Daniel completed his Honours degree in Financial Management at the University of Johannesburg. He then joined the Treasury department at Sasfin Bank in 2007 where he was the Treasury Investments Manager. Daniel joined the Treger Group in October 2011 and is the fourth generation of the Treger family to join the group.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Barney Treger

Barney has over 40 years’ experience in the marketing and distribution of branded products to the retail industry. He was responsible for the conceptualisation and establishment of The Just Fun Group (Pty) Ltd., and was Group Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he distributed brands such as Mattel, Fisher Price, Marvel, Disney and Barbie amongst many others. He is now an Executive Director of the Treger Group.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Gary Treger

Gary has been involved in the golfing and corporate promotions industry for over 40 years, achieving great success. As Treger Sports, he was the official merchandiser of the Nedbank Golf Challenge (previously, the “Million Dollar Challenge”) for 12 years, and was also involved in the organisation of the event. Gary joins the Treger Brands family as an Executive Director, overseeing the promotions division.

 

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Loren Dakes

Loren completed a Bachelors degree in Law and Psychology at Wits University, and a Marketing diploma through the IMM Graduate School of Marketing. She worked at Sony Music Entertainment (Pty) Ltd for 12 years reaching the position of Strategic Marketing Manager. Loren thereafter founded and successfully ran her own travel business for three years, which she then sold to return to her primary passion – marketing. Loren co-founded Treger Brands Jewellery Company with the Treger family.

 

NATIONAL SALES MANAGER - TREGER BRANDS

Sandra Rosslee

Sandra has over 26 yrs experience and skills in the distribution and marketing of international branded products.
She worked for South Africa’s biggest chain stores for 4 years, managing the Beauty department before joining Anbeeco Sales and Training team in 1996.
Her responsibilities span sales and training for all major retail and chain stores in Sub-Saharan Africa. Sandra joined the management team of Treger Brands in 2011 and is responsible for the maintaining and expanding the company customer base and ensure strong presence of brands in stores.

National Sales Manager - Swiss Watch Brands & Longines Brand Manager

Tanya Miles

Tanya has over 20 years’ experience in managing luxury Swiss watch brands from a marketing, sales, and distribution perspective and gained over 15 years’ experience working directly for the Swatch Group.

Prior to Brand Management Tanya worked as a buyer for 14 years for the watch divisions of two major chain store groups.
She is now the National Sales Manager of the Swiss Brands Division of the Treger Group while maintaining her role as Longines Brand Manager.
